Explore the Region

Norwich

For more than 900 years, the splendour of Norwich Cathedral has attracted visitors. Founded in 1096, it stands as one of the finest Romanesque buildings in Europe, with the second-largest spire and largest monastic cloisters in England. The city also boasts a magnificent castle, independent shops, and a thriving food scene.

King's Lynn

An historic medieval port dating back to the 12th century on the River Great Ouse. England's only surviving Hanseatic Warehouse, the Custom House built in 1683, and the Green Quay interactive exhibition exploring the wildlife of The Wash make this a rewarding day out.

Holt

The historic Georgian town of Holt is a haven for artists, walkers and shoppers. Cafes, boutiques, galleries and antique shops fill the alleyways and courtyards. Holt Country Park nearby offers 100 acres of woodland, picnic areas and nature trails.

Burnham Market

One of the prettiest places in North Norfolk, just a couple of miles from the coast. A shopper's paradise with clothing boutiques, galleries, a bookshop, deli, bakery, fishmonger and tea shops — all with a unique village feel.

Stately Homes & Gardens

Sandringham House

The country retreat of HM The Queen, built by King Edward VII. The house, museum and gardens are open to visitors and make for a truly royal day out.

Priory Maze Gardens

Ten acres near Sheringham with a classic hedge maze and numerous demonstration gardens. Set within woodland and wildflower meadows.

Felbrigg Hall

One of the finest 17th-century houses in East Anglia with a library, restored walled garden, working dove cote and National Collection of Colchicum.

The Norfolk Coastline

The Norfolk coastline is famous for miles of sandy beaches, many dog-friendly all year round. The traditional seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer are just two of many popular resorts.

For fantastic dog-walking, Wells, Holkham and Brancaster beaches are all within approximately 40 minutes' drive — and Holkham's vast sandy beach is simply breathtaking.
