CLINTON
HOUSE & COTTAGE
CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Reservations
for accommodation are accepted on the following conditions:
1.
For bookings more than six weeks before arrival, a deposit
of ONE THIRD of the hire charge is payable on booking, the
balance being payable not less than six weeks before commencement
of the booking.
2.
For bookings made six weeks or less before arrival, the FULL
AMOUNT is payable on booking.
3.
Once a Confirmation of booking has been issued, the hirer
is responsible for the total advertised price of the property
on the confirmation of booking. Any additional costs for heating
and electricity is to be paid as requested at the end of the
let once the consumption amounts are known.
4.
Each of our properties are furnished to our taste and the
standards recommended by The English Tourism Council. We cannot
therefore accept responsibility should the property not conform
to the holiday makers standards. Whilst we take every care
to make the property and contents safe and in good working
order, the use of our amenities are entirely at the users
risk and we cannot accept responsibility for injury to guests
or third parties or for loss or damage to their belongings,
cars or contents or any personal possessions of any kind.
We cannot be held liable for any sudden invasion of pests
or breakdown of any appliance.
5.
All breakages must be reported to us and damage, however caused,
during the letting period is the responsibility of the hirer
and must be corrected at the hirers expense or paid for by
the hirer at the sum agreed between the hirer and the owners.
6.
Linen is changed between tenancies. Visitors staying more
than one week will be supplied, if requested, with fresh linen
each week, provided the hirer specifies at the time of the
booking.
7.
No more than the maximum number of persons, as stated in the
brochure, may occupy the property. If this condition is not
observed, the owners reserve the right to refuse admittance
due to non-compliance with this condition.
8.
The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected
to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils
etc must be left clean and the property must be left clean
and tidy at the end of the hire period.
9.
If the hirer is not entirely satisfied with the accommodation
offered, he must contact the owner immediately after arrival
and attempt to resolve the problem.
10.
Pets, when permitted, are the responsibility of the hirer
and must be kept under strict control at all times and the
hirer must remove all trace inside and outside of the property
of pet occupation. Pets must not be left unattended at any
time in the holiday property and are not permitted on furniture
or beds. The hirer remains liable for all damage or extra
cleaning caused by the pet. If a refundable deposit is paid
and damage has been caused this will be used and any balance
refunded, but this is without prejudice to any further claim
from the owner. Pets must not be allowed to stray onto neighbouring
properties or onto neighbouring farmland without the permission
of the owners. Any atttacks on any other animals by their
pets will be the sole responsibility of the hirers. Any expenses
incurred due to injury or damage caused the hirers pets will
be solely the hirers responsibility.
11.
the hirer shall be entitled to occupy the property for holiday
purposes only and this agreement shall not confer on the hirer
any security of tenure within the terms of the Housing Act
1988, pursuant to which the occupation shall be deemed to
be by way of an excluded tenancy.
12.
Cancellation Terms:
a.
A change to holiday dates may be accepted provided we have
eight weeks notice. However, the deposit will not be returned
if a re-let of the property has not been successful. If the
property is re-let then the full amount, less an administrative
charge of £30, will be returned.
b. If the hirer is forced to cancel the holiday
within the six-week period prior to the holiday, the deposit
is not re-fundable and the balance is still payable on the
due date. Every effort will be made to re-let the property
and if successful, the rental fee will be returned, less an
administrative fee of £30. We strongly suggest there
that the hirers take out 'holiday insurance' to cover cancellation
charges.
